A few weeks ago I visited Bangkok with my friends (Paulina and Larissa) and it was one of the best trips I've ever had. There's something special about experiencing a different country with those closest to you, and I'm glad I was given time off work to do so. Since the three of us attended different universities, I wasn't able to see them for most of my college life. This trip gave us an opportunity to hang out like we used to back in high school.

Most of what we did during the trip was a series of visits to Platinum Fashion Mall, MBK Center (the mall closest to our hotel), Siam Paragon (which had an amazing foodcourt), and Central World.

We would spend afternoons circling Platinum only to stop and drink Chocolate Glaciers or Iced Chocolate frappes from Black Canyon (or as Paulina would say, Black Rock). Shopping together gave us the opportunity to police each other on whether something was trying too hard (ie. too "little house on the prairie", "cult wife", "corporate ghost looking", "baptism dress" - the inside jokes are endless) or genuinely cute. If we would all find something we liked, we would get a huge discount because of the wholesale price policy. After we would arrive back at our hotel room from an afternoon of shopping, we'd empty the multiple plastic bags that we accumulated from our "spoils" and try them on, outwardly plotting which pieces we would buy next. This routine happened 2-3 times.

Before the trip I made a personal policy to not spend over 500 baht or P700 on a single item of clothing. The funny thing is that I found myself buying practically everything at 200 baht or P260, so you can just imagine how many pieces I jammed my bags with for the trip home.

Tita Monica (Paulina's mom) booked a taxi to take all of us to the floating market, the grand palace, Ayutthaya, and the Reclining Buddha (more on that in the next post). Thanks to her, our trip went smoothly. :)

I'll post part two soon so stay tuned!

Graphic

Hi everyone!

So I've decided to dedicate a considerable amount of my free time to shoot (call it a resolution of sorts). These photos of Lexy were taken last Tuesday at The Collective (more on that soon). I shot her earlier this year on a whim because I love how she's able to carry her hairstyle so well. I met Lexy when I joined GGFM (my school's radio station) and we got along pretty well. The both of us like to fangirl over Japanese films and culture so it was pretty much inevitable.

Anyway! I'm happy to tell you guys that I have a few cool things planned for the next few weeks. I currently have 2 posts queued so make sure to keep checking and I'm working on updating my blog's layout.

Weekend Drive

Happy hump day to you all!

Over the weekend I took some photos of my long time friend (and model), Steffi. Its always a pleasure working with someone you've grown so close to over the years. I love how we were able to form a dynamic where we both don't need to say much to get "the" shots.

The last time we hung out was over a year ago and we still find ourselves reminiscing over our time in New York. We shot different layouts under the course of an hour (which is probably the fastest I've ever worked in a while). I've got some posts lined up for you guys so stay tuned!

P.S.
I'm in the process of looking for someone to redesign my website so if you know anyone who might be interested, please send them my way!

Model: Lexi
MUA: Justine

Hello again!

Its been such a long time since I last photographed for this blog and it feels great to be doing what I love. Half the reason why I stopped posting for an entire year was because of my forgetfulness (I literally forgot my blog's password) and the other was academic. It feels surreal to say that I am officially in my last year of schooling. Yep, thats right! If everything goes well I'll be graduating this time next year.

Its been a year of personal growth and I'm so thankful to have been given the opportunity to find a course I love and surround myself with like minded individuals. Speaking of which, I would like to introduce my latest model Lexi. I joined my school's radio organization and I am absolutely enamored by everyone in it. When I first met her I knew I had to say something about her hair which resulted in a bit of an awkward conversation that I remember quite well. This was shot a few hours ago in a park near her area and I am beyond ecstatic to tell you guys that I have more of these shoots lined up. :)

SAN FRANCISCO 2013 + VIDEO

I arrived in San Francisco two weeks ago, and I had a great time experiencing the stark contrast it had with the east coast. The first few days were dedicated to seeing majority of the tourist attractions that interested me: Legion of Honor, Haight Street, Golden Gate bridge, China Town etc. I was able to fully immerse myself in the bay area culture by walking through the streets and taking public transportation (where I met a real gypsy soothsayer - or at least I would like to believe so). It was difficult to refrain from In-N-Out, Panda Express, Ghirardelli Square, and Safeway red velvet cookies - when travelling: don't think, just eat am I right? Haight Street reminded me of Soho's more relaxed, hippy cousin (albeit still as artsy). For me, the fog that shrouded the city each night only heightened the beauty of the city as I looked over my aunt's apartment window. It was my first visit to California and I don't regret choosing San Francisco as my last destination.
